My Bio: Peace to all and what's up?
The name Dav Coolhandz is my artist name and was chosen from a mixture of my real name and a few things about me.
It means "DAV-e is- COOL-H-armonious-AN-D-a-Z-zling.
The name Dav (pronounced DAVE) is short for my first name of David.
COOL- would be my attitude towards others and the world we live in.
Harmonious- would describe my well balanced life and the harmony between me and nature.
Dazzling- would be a character trait meaning "to bewilder, impress, and amaze with brilliant display. To inspire admiration or wonder.
That would sum me up personally. Hope that you guys get the picture.
Well now for a little about myself...
I am 5'8''/ 220 pounds of fun (heh heh) African American with Hazel eyes and Black hair.
Also I am a music producer and artist skilled in mixing and mastering as well as the instruments- piano, violin, guitar, and keyboards. I use Sonar music production software for my production along with a host of software synthesizers and plug INS. I have a pre production studio in Mableton, Ga. in which I am expanding and opening to the public by July 30, 2006.
As an artist I have been featured on the Depths Of Atlanta Hitsquad's PowerMonger 69 Radio Station as well as their Demo CD 1. I have also been selected to be on the upcoming album from their artist "J.U. Ice" this fall. I have done some work with a production company called Symposium Entertainment along side another artist from Vallejo, California called "Swinn G". A few of my songs were on the charts on a few internet sites and one or two have been played on a couple of internet radio stations. You can check out my links to find those out. Right now I am working on my debut album to be titled “HandzMade”. It will include a host of new artists as well as a few established names in the business. Check the D.O.A. Hitsquad Productions Online for updates on the project.
Now when it comes to production, I use my middle name when I produce, which is Carlo. I shortened it down to Lo-C as the production name as well as a few spin-offs like King Lo-cifer and Dirty-C to name a few. I have been producing music for about 5 or six years and have become the D.O.A. Hitsquad Productions Executive Producer during this time. I have a few artists I am working with like “Big Chris Byrd”, Swinn G. “Shell Shock”, Stiff Peetah, Diana LuV, and Shadow Soulja from Canada. There are a few more I am planning on getting with if time permits but right now I am pretty full.
Now with Dav Coolhandz and Lo-C that makes up two parts of “The Trilogy” which is also my handle for me as a person in the entertainment business. Last would be my alter-ego “Big Papa Grande” in which I adopted as my name back when I was rolling the streets of Atlanta hustling and “doing that damn thang”. From pimping to banging, Papa G. has been through it all. Luckily I made it out alive though scarred a bit, from a couple visits to the belly of the concrete beast (prison). But now, I have rearranged my path and started a whole new way of living which was a change for the better. All together you have the “Trilogy”.
Other than that, I am a designer and custom art producer. From airbrushing to auto customizing, I run my on design company labeled: DCM Entertainment in Atlanta, Ga. Custom Artwork, airbrush, t-shirt designs, flyers, web design, murals, and just about anything in the field of visual art are the specialties of my company.
There is so much more to the puzzle that makes up David C. Martin, but some things must be left for a one on one conversation, so if you are interested. Give me a holler. I am always around.
