New Music Records was created in November 2005 by a huge music lover. What he heard on the radio was always the same, and he thought that radio dj's and other people should get to know other music. The fact is that there are a lot of exciting, fresh and fascinating musicians out there to love. However, because they are unsigned, the vast majority of them are going unseen and unheard. But we wondered, how can we help these very talented people get the recognition and adulation they deserve? That's why New Music Records started this website. We wanted to give unsigned and emerging artists a place where they can build on their musical career. We wanted to give the artists their own space to create, and get their songs heard. It doesn't matter if they're a serious career musician or if they're just started playing in de shed and home. The meaning of New Music Records is to get artists closer to people and other artists, or maybe a record label who is watching.
We offer artists the chance to have their own website. This is the way to promote their band and their music. What they get on they're profile is a gallery for the pictures, a place to introduce themselves to the world, songs and video's to show, details of upcoming gigs, personal message board and blog to tell what they have been doing or going to do in the near future. We aim to make it easier for them to get in contact with like-minded artists, build a bigger fan community and prove themselves to venues, record companies and management. On our new artists community you will find new artists and fans. This website is free of annoying ads that seem to be coming more and more on myspace and other websites.
