My Bio: OFF THA HOOK records is an up and coming record label that's gaining a lot of ground, they are fierce, head strong, and determined. Who would have guess that this record label is based out of Mansfield, Louisiana. This motivated and driven record label is like no other record label I've ever witnessed.
James Maxie is the master mind behind this small destiny. He confesses that he would have never dreamed in a million years that he would be a CEO of a record label but he states that his daddy always say "opportunity only knocks once, sometimes twice if you damn lucky. He took heed to that when he first heard rapper Tyte Whyte rap. He admits that initially all he saw were dollar signs but his mind soon change once he saw how rap and hip hop affect the community and sway young kids. His state of mind turned toward a more solid foundation and wanted OFF THA HOOK to stand for more and strive for excellence while staying true to the cause.
The label's VP, Marcus Carter is a reserve individual who is so excited about the accomplishments the label has made since they first burst on the scene in 2005 that he is bursting at the seams. They are currently on a ten city tour and have been invited to open up for some well known acts. They are about to release the much anticipated album, "ALTER EGO" and the their mixed tape. "MANSFIELD'S FINEST." When asked about his artist all he does is smile. He describes his artist's lyrics as being ice cold and Cayenne pepper hot, they are dope and tantalizing, mouth watering and insatiable. He states that they can't be touched. When asked about the album he says that when you pop in this CD, it can't miss you, it has something for everybody. It has the hot club tracks, it has the tracks that you can lay back and ride too. He also states that they did not for get those tracks for the streets.
OFF THA HOOK RECORDS is currently grooming themselves for the bigger and better things, they admit that they love their local fans but states they are doing the world a grave injustice if they did not promote themselves worldwide and allow the world to hear them spit their ghetto tales and rhyme the rhymes only a true rapper can spit. This young talented label can hold their own and will hold their own. I am saying it first, "watch out world they coming and they coming hard, they are going straight to the top."
