| My Bio: BIO The Brother LC is originally from northeast Baltimore but relocated to the Washington, D.C. in 2002. He went through an extensive period of alcohol and drug addiction, and as a result was forced to be homelessness for a period of ten years. In spite of owning his own home at the age of nineteen, he ended up living with friends, relatives and eventually in homeless shelters. He has been incarcerated off and on since the age of fifteen. In 1996 he entered into a series of drug counseling programs and he has been clean and sober for the last two years. With the support of others and taking it one day a time, he has accomplished many things, and is committed to helping others in similar situations as his. He has been employed as a Research Assistant for the Tobacco Control Program at Howard University's Cancer Center. He has a special passion for exposing the truth about tobacco use and is very active in the community. He visits schools and community centers throughout the country and speaks to students and youth about the effects of drugs, alcohol and tobacco. In 1985 he took an interest in hip hop where he learn how to rap from street cyphers, underground hip hop shows and open mic events. The love for his music has taken him to fourteen states where he has performed at various events, including The African American Tobacco Prevention Network in Chicago, Illinois, Black Voices for Peace, Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, Washington, D.C., Presentation on Smoking Cessation, Washington, D.C., Sunrise Academy Presentation on Youth Violence, Kick Butts Day at the Hawaii State Capital and many more. He currently performs as part of the Music With A Message team through American Lung Association. LC is actively pursuing a career in rap music that expresses his concerns the dangers of life involving substance abuse and addiction. He is focused on delivering a positive message that empowers and encourages his audience to make positive choices about life. His words are a message of hope, healing, and an appreciation for life.
