Now who doesn't know who Puff Daddy is??? This talented man started as
an intern for record companies. He eventually became the A&R rep for
Uptown Records. Here his most popular work was with Mary J. Blidge.
After that, Puff headed over to Arista Records where he started his own
"Bad Boy Entertainment". The first artists on Bad Boy were Craig Mack
and Notorious BIG. You saw his name on the records and saw him in the
videos. Sean 'Puffy' Combs was starting to get popular and Bad Boy
Records was movin' up in the game.
For a while, Puff Daddy found himself in the middle of one of the
biggest east coast/west coast fights. Bad Boy Records Vs. Death Row
Records. Basically it was Puff Daddy & Biggie Smalls Vs. Suge Knight &
Tupac Shakur. This started when 2pac was shot for the first time in New
York. (2Pac blamed his shooting on Biggie Smalls among other East Coast
rappers) Before this, 2Pac & Biggie Smalls were friends. This was a big
incident in the east coast-west coast situation. In 1996, Tupac Shakur
was shot & killed. Shortly after this, Suge Knight was thrown in jail
for a probation violation. Death Row Records didn't turn out to be as
"untouchable" as they said they were. (Puffy Daddy & Family made no
direct involvement in this east coast-west coast fight and Puff Daddy
now gives shout-outs to 2Pac saying R.I.P.
1997 was a big year for Bad Boy Entertainment. In early 1997, Puff Daddy
was doing vocals for a change and Bad Boy had a new family member who
went by the name of Mase. "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down" was a huge hit
from Puff Daddy & Mase. This track was blowin' up while a solo album by
Puff Daddy called "Hell Up In Harlem" was expected to be released soon.
Unfortunately, in March tragedy hit. Notorious BIG was shot & killed.
The death of Notorious BIG was a huge loss for Bad Boy Records. Puff
Daddy had lost his best friend. Puffy recorded a track entitled "Missing
You" which was a sample of Sting's "Every Breath You Take" in memorial
for Biggie Smalls. This track surprisingly went platinum bring in 3
million dollars for that one track. A memorial album was also created in
dedication to the Notorious BIG. The 3 million dollars that this track
made was generously given to the family of The Notorious BIG by Puff
Daddy
In Summer of '97, Puff Daddy's solo album entitled "No Way Out" was
released. This album quickly went platinum and was a major success. It
featured such Bad Boy family members as Mase, Notorious BIG, Lil' Kim,
112, Faith Evans, Black Rob, and The Lox. Major hits from this album are
"Can't Nobody Hold me Down", "Missing You", "It's All About The
Benjamins", and "Been Around The World".
Puff Daddy was now working with such artists as Busta Rhymes, KRS-One,
Lil' Kim, Boyz II Men, and Mariah Carey. He was seen in tons of rap
videos and his name was printed on many new albums. In fall of '97,
Mase's solo album was released which was entitled "Harlem World". In
winter of '97, the entire Bad Boy family started their tour. This
rap/r&b music tour featured the entire bad boy family plus other artists
like Jay-Z, Foxy Brown, Busta Rhymes, and Usher. The tour was of course
a huge success with sold out crowds everywhere! This concert was not
about the money but about Puffy seeing people happy. This was his
payment for it. Also, a portion of the money gained from this tour went
to the family of Notorious BIG.
Puff Daddy was born & raised in New York City. He now has a son named
Justin and is most likely the busiest man in hip-hop music. He gets paid
and he ain't afraid to show it. Puff Daddy also runs a charity called
"Daddy's House" which gives money to the kids of New York for computer
camps, trips to Africa, ETC. Puff Daddy even owns a restaurant located
in New York which is called "Justin's" (named after his son). So much
more will be coming from Puff Daddy & The Bad Boy Family. Most who don't
like him are either just playa hatas or have too much jealousy & envy.
Sean 'Puffy' Combs is very talented and is looking to be hip-hop's
leader into the 21st century |

| | hahahaha thats funny!! | venus031283 | Puffy is a joke all he could do is sance in the back in the videos | Miamiboi | "THERE CLASSICS FOR A REASON, IF YOU CANT SING, LIKE 99 PERCENT OF ALL RAPPERS, DONT RUIN A CLASSIC DAMNIT!"
This bitch is worse than fucc_doja! I don't like Diddy either, but FUCK ROCK MUSIC. It's just a bunch of old men in spandex and bad hair. And "99 PERCENT OF ROCK COCKSUCKERS CANT SING." And Diddy ruins a lot of classics (this not being one because that song sucks major dick). He is a disgrace to music but so is these hair metal bands. And Marilyn Manson remixing Eminem's Way I Am is a peice of shit. all this good rap to faggy rock bullshit has gotta stop. | 3rd_Degree_the_CHOZN_1 | Dude, you know nothing about music. You may think you do, but you don't. Led Zeppelin has sold over 300 million albums worldwide. Something that a Hip-Hop/Rap artis will NEVER be able to do. Think before you talk. | megadeth542 | Don't worry guys, 3rd_Degree_the_CHOZN_1 is just a no good 14-year-old wigger who doesn't know his skin color. Eminem is a fag and so are you. Next time you try to argue your point, a least be out of middle school. For those of us in college who know a little something about music, keep up the good work. This guy obviously knows nothing about his roots or Zeppelin's dominance in the music industry. Oh, and by the way, Anthrax started rap. They were a metal band they jump started the gangta rap movement. Thats right, your shitty version of music is derived from metal. | megadeth542 | All you devil worshipping Columbine shooting supporting wrist slitters stop sucking each other's cocks and come to realize that that sorry excuse for a "music" called CROCK & BLOW aka IRRITATING NOISE takes NO TALENT to make, and therefore, doesn't constitute as music whatsoever! And Crappelin were nothing more than a HASBEEN hippy band, Motley Tool were nothing but drag queens making that pathetic hair metal garbage, and MegaDORKS are a bunch of satan worshippers who scream like they're taking a crap! So fuck off, you freaks and nobodies of society, RAP IS 100 TIMES MORE SUPERIOR TO YOUR TALENTLESS NOISE! >:) | AzN_HiPhOp_bOi | "Anthrax started rap. They were a metal band
they jump started the gangta rap movement"
You're a MORON! People from the Bronx started rap, and the Sugar Hill gang introduced it to the mainstream! And N.W.A. and Ice T were some of the 1st to introduce gangsta rap to the mainstream! Anthrax are nothing but another TALENTLESS DEVIL WORSHIPPING band, and their collaboration with Public Enemy DOESN'T make them rap! HAHAHA you know nothing about music, FREAK! | AzN_HiPhOp_bOi | I'm in high school you dumb tight pants wearing dick sucker. And just because I'm white and listen to rap doen't mean I'm a wigger. At least I don't go around in dirty ass rock T Shit and tight nuthugger jeans and beat ass converse. Don't be mad because rock fell off 20s years ago and those bitch made old men who are still around from the 60s, who need to go to a fucking old folks home, unless they died of an over dose or old age, are still trying to make music, when of coarse Eminem is in the world record book for most album sold in a month in 2001 and still holds that record! | 3rd_Degree_the_CHOZN_1 | I find it funny as hell how all these crock & blow fans love bringing racism into this rap vs. rock feud. I mean don't get me wrong, there are some rap fans who can be racist too, but majority of the time it's always a crock fan who always brings something racist into the debate 1st. Like for example, when the megaDORK fan says that 3rd degree is a wigger and that he doesn't know how to be white. OOOOOK, so how exactly is one supposed to "be white"? So are you telling us that being a retarded goth, punk, or any freak in general is the only way white people should dress? And the music, yea, only crock & blow are for white people? Music is for everyone you Hitler stunt double, I'm ASIAN, and I listen to supposed "black music" rap and r&b. Hell, even Jimi Hendrix and Lenny Kravitz (2 black ppl) plays crock music. So get this through your thick little "WHITE POWDER" head and live in the present and NOT the past! >:) | AzN_HiPhOp_bOi | That's right Azn! It doesn't matter what color of skin you are, it's all just music. I know black people who listen to rock, do you think that they "don't know the color of their skin?" None of my friends (who are mostly all black) care if I listen to rap music, and they don't call me a wigger! Because they're not racist fucks like this rock lames who spend all day complaining about how "they hate their lives" then go slit their wrists! | 3rd_Degree_the_CHOZN_1 | Besides MegaDICK only has five friends and only 9 favorite artists. While I have over 100 friends and 100 favorite artists. And just because you're in college doesn't mean you know a lot about music! You give Ohio a bad name you cock and blow hoe! | 3rd_Degree_the_CHOZN_1 | Don't worry about it 3rd...I believe that MegaDORK moron is just your typical racist rock fan who believes that white people should only listen to rock (so called white music). No surprise, let's see how he feels when someone calls him a devil worshipper cause he listens to a talentless band like MegaDORK! | AzN_HiPhOp_bOi | | | |
