Biography

QOTSA is :

Josh Homme: vocals/guitar

Dave Grohl: drummer

Nick Oliveri: bassist

The project's origin goes back from the break up of the first attempt known as Kyuss. Homme decided to relocate to Seattle in 1995 to tour with the Screaming Trees. Soon he began hhis search with a lineup of musicians like Tree's Van Conner, and Soundgarden's Matt Cameron.

Homme decided to take in Hernandez to help with their self titled debut album in 1998. After the album was finished Oliveri left the Dwarves to rejoin his fellow bandmembers. In 2000 QOTSA released their second album R, before their appearance at that years Ozz Fest.

2001 saw the group perform at a massive rock festival in Rio. Afterwards Olivari was arrested by the towns police for performing nude.

Former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl expressed his admaration for QOTSA to the press, which of course led to the inovation for him to be the next drummer. Of course the Foo Fighters would have to be put on hold. But that was a risk he was willing to take.

He made it just in time for the recording of the third album in 2002.

Alcohol and marijuana are ok, but the others are pretty vicious man. Did you guys know that ecstasy drains your spinal fluid?
