| Rama IV combines the talents of some of the Netherlands' best ethnic dance producers with a traditional core of song divas and musicians. Paul Downes, Nenad Sismic and Alain Eskinasi form the foundation of the group. They are joined by Thai vocalist Ning Lertlam and a host of other artists.
Founded in 1996 by Paul Downes (clients include Tangerine Dream, George Clinton & more), Silk Mind presents an upbeat journey into the Eastern realms of groove.
Layers of tight ethno-electronic beds combine with indigenous and traditional instrumentation which include keyboards, bass, guitar, ethnic percussion, ethnic flutes and samples to create a sensuously exotic auditory experience. A symbiosis of the Pizzicato and Thai Gamelan bells, a marriage of electronic and organic rhythms and the intertwining of Eastern and Western thinking. |
