Biography

Rasputina was established by cellist and lead singer Melora Creager (Kansas). The second to join the group was Julia Kent (Canada). A few other ladies have come and left. Carpella Parvo (cello) and Norman Block (drums) were in the group up and possibly through the debut CD Thanks For The Ether (1996 Columbia Records), when Agnieszka Rybska (of Poland) joined. In 1996, Rasputina met Marilyn Manson, who (with Twiggy Ramirez) helped with remixes, making the EP Transylvanian Regurgitations (1996 Columbia Records). Rasputina toured with Marilyn Manson on the Dead to the World tour for a while, although they didn't feel they fit in. For a while, Lisa Haney toured with Rasputina to fill in while there was no third cello. During the group's second album, How We Quit The Forest (1998 Columbia Records), Chris Vrenna (of Nine Inch Nails) joined as the drummer. Rasputina has been on a couple national television shows, such as Conan O'Brien and Regis and Kathy Lee. Slowly, but surely, Rasputina is gaining more and more popularity. Pretty soon this Neo-Chamber Grunge band's albums will be spun in millions of CD players around the world! (Well, those are my hopes, anyway.)

Armand, are you going to "genres" and clicking "goth-rock" by any chance? How are you finding all these bands before me!? I am going to have to write like 10 biographies to catch up... And I have been looking for incubus sukkubus forever. But hey at least you found that before I wasted time making a bio for it. ::sighs::	syntheticxdreams

it was short and crappy. but it would have given me credit for adding them. thats all i care abiout.. credit! and speaking of that.. the site now has lots more bands added.. but also..
