| Ray started playing music at age 6 and studied all the way through college attending Morehead State University, studying piano and voice. In 1993 Ray helped form the band AXIS in Ashland, KY with members Jeff Boggs, Dale Queen, Jon Hickman. The band recorded at EP and then broke up but have remained friends through the years. Ray then went on the play in several area bands before joining "Cry Wolf" in 1995 and toured the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. There is a LIVE CD of Cry Wolf but no studio recordings. Ray left the band and the road in 1998 and joined the band Bourbon Street which later became ONE EYED GYPSY. While in that band they released a full lenght cd and opened for some of Rocks greatest acts like .38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Bad Company, American Pearl, Will Ford, LFO, David Allen Coe, The Kentucky Headhunters, Black Oak Arkansas, and The Southern Rock Allstars. The cd recieved great reviews!!! The orginal line-up broke up in 2002 and a short lived second line up didn't record or last long. After that Ray moved to Nashville, Tn to start a solo career and release a new CD. The new material is a mix of country and rock. You can hear it and buy any of the music that Ray has recorded over the years. Ray is recording a cd with a band out of NY. So moreis to come very soon.
