‘Breathe’ has a distinct and impressive entrance that really grabs you, the drumming maybe simple, but it is truly effective. As well as the guitar duo there’s a hint of industrial programming to make the song really unique. Being the first track from the ‘Beneath, Between, Beyond’ album, I think it’s a great kick off, and really tells you that Static-X are back, with no changes, just amazing up-grades.
The lyrics as usual are unusual but are still monumental, and always interesting to listen to.
The vocals are always enthusiastic and really get that aggressive view across, especially as the guitar and drums contrast, it really makes a powerful base for the song. It’s a very well presented song, with great final touches.
‘Breathe’ has to be one of the best songs from the album.
