RewBee blends elements of classic rock meets alternative rock. The core members of RewBee which consists of Rew and Bee bring such diverse influences at times it’s very hard for even the most seasoned music listener to describe what they sound like. There has been reference to “Early X with a NYC edge” to “Blondie”. One thing is clear, RewBee’s music provides it’s fans with Alternative Rock and Roll that people have fun listening to and partying to.
RewBee met at David’s Knights popular Music Talks Sessions, a meeting place for indie artists to share ideas. Bob Kuch (Bee) emailed Rew and asked her if she knew of anyone looking for a guitarist. Rew replied, “I am, come sit in with me at Bar 169”. That was March of 06 and since then RewBee has been moving through the universe in leaps and bounds. RewBee set up Ragamuffin Recordz NYC as their indie label to promote, Bee Hive studios to produce and RewBee Tunes Publishing to administer rights to their music. Rew’s release of her solo album entitled “That*S*rite has been receiving positive reviews and recently got accepted at Pump Audio for licensing opportunities. RewBee produced and released their demo CD entitled “Organic” in Sept of 06. “ParTy 2nite” a fan favorite has recently been accepted at NoteBorn Music for licensing opportunities. RewBee loves radio station performances and has most recently had the pleasure to perform and promote on Doc Martin’s Radio Free Tribeca, Quinnipiac University’s WQUN,University of New Haven’s Mandatory Feedback WNHU and most recently on the Joey Reynolds Show WOR 710am. .
RewBee’s intentions continue to consist of constant performance and recording of new material. We strive to add to our ever growing fan base and through the efforts at Ragamuffin and all our fans, friends and family, we continue to promote our music. RewBee is a major label act currently on a boutique indie budget, we will continue to grow organically and through the never ending help of the universe we shall get to where we belong.
As of 5/9/07 after performing at Baruch College’s Spring Fling festival, RewBee continues to perform in NYC and the surrounding Tri-State area. In the fall RewBee will be with the Girls Rock and Girls Rule Tour embarking on a Northeast Regional Tour.
