Radio Frequency Interferance,Ralph Furley's Idea, Real Freaky Iguanas!
What ever you thought R.F.I. stood for, was what our band was called. It didn't matter what the band name was, and it didn't matter how you wanted to catagorize our sound. Rock,jazz,blues,fusion,"alternative". All that mattered to us was the soul of the music!The groove.
R.F.I. Originated in 1990 in the middle of the sonoran desert in a town called Tucson,AZ. Three guys from totally different music backgrounds came together with the idea that, a band didn't have to be stuck to a single type of music. EVERY style of music was to be explored. Asian,Egyption,Pop,Rock,Blues,Jazz,Metal,Punk,anything! None was better than the other. We were on a mission to find the ultimate Groove! The pocket in time when all the musicians are as one, and nothing else matters but the sound.
In the ten years that R.F.I. was together, Jesse,Craig & Mike wrote more than 300 original songs and played more than 200 live shows. They recorded several albums,2 ep's, and a movie soundtrack.
We never did find the Ultimate groove,...... but we came damn close.
