Featuring former Anberlin member
When you mix musical integrity along with honest songwriting; you will find Rilian, an amazing rock band hailing from Tennessee. The debut E.P., "A Fragment Of Life" delivers instrumental depth and melodic vocals to create a sound that is difficult to imitate. Music written and recorded by Jerad Griffin, Tucker Blackmon, and George Granade, produced by Mark Maxwell and mixed by Micheal Joyce, the album proves to hold substance and mystery while embracing a combination of the early sounds of The Smashing Pumpkins, Hum, Third Eye Blind, Failure, and Jimmy Eat World.
After helping start Anberlin and doing two national tours, Jerad Griffin, Rilian's frontman and main songwriter, decided to part ways with the band and try something new. Since forming Rilian has set forth creating music described by fans as a “sensual experience” created by thick-driving guitars, 90's rock driven beats and melodic vocals. Performing with acts such as Classic Case, The Almost, Red Letter Agent, Look Mexico, Band Marino, and To Write Love On Her Arms; the act continues to gain attention and credibility for their live performance with music of underlying themes and messages of hope influenced from philosphers, writers, poets, theologians, and modern culture.
Rilian’s debut E.P. "A Fragment Of Life" is merely a glimpse into the musical integrity, musicianship, and lyrical depth that the band strives to create. Rilian is striving to create the best music possible while maintaining a valid and credible artistic approach both musically and lyrically. The idea behind Rilian is more than just music...it is vision, art, life, love, hope, and passion not only on stage but off. |
