In the simplest of music industry terms, Ringbone is a high-energy dance band from Vermont. With their large catalog of original songs and a few tasty covers, Ringbone mixes rock, reggae, ska, Caribbean, Latin and other world beat sounds to form their own exciting sound. Ringbone mixes rock and roll with world grooves in a similar way that the Police mixed pop and reggae in the 1980's. The line-up features members of some of Vermont's most beloved bands including Smokin' Grass and Motel Brown. With catchy lyrics, sweet vocal harmonies, soaring lap steel, scorching lead guitar, booty-shaking low end and sweaty dance grooves, music lovers of many genres are captivated by the music of Ringbone.
Ringbone first appeared on the Vermont music scene opening for the premier American reggae band, John Brown's Body at Higher Ground. Since then, the band recorded a self-titled three song EP and has been performing regularly in New England, stealing the hearts of audiences with their hot live shows. Future plans include the release of the band's first full length recording later this year, followed by touring in support of the new cd
