| The Roys, a brother-sister act, hail from Fitchburg, Massachusetts. They have been singing together since their childhoods. Elaine began to sing at the age of 5 and her brother, Lee, joined in a few years later. When they began to harmonize together, it was obvious it just clicked and thus began their unique vocal sounds!
In the 1970's, they moved to New Brunswick, Canada, and for years really developed their musical skills and their love for the country music sound. After relocating to Fitchburg in the 1980's, they decided to form a duo and started playing local clubs and engagements. In 1990, they fulfilled a life long dream of moving to Nashville, TN to further their careers in music. They lived there for 10 years making great contacts, touring the southern states, recording an album, singing demos for songwriters as well as writing some of their own material. They recorded a cd of their original material called " House Full of Love ".
After 10 years of beating on doors, The Roys decided to return to the starting ground of the music & refocus on their musical goals they had set for themselves back in the 1980's. Once relocated back to Massachusetts, they embarked on recording an all french music cd. The title of the cd is " Cherie Revien ", which their fiddle playing uncle Joe LeBlanc wrote.
The Roys have been making the music they love for years, and hope to someday bring their traditional harmonies to a wider audience. They have developed a great following in the central Massachusetts area, but are still looking at the big picture of playing to as many people as possible. They truly enjoy playing country music and hope the people enjoy listening to them! |
