Ruben Studdard originally named Christopher Ruben Studdard and born in Birmingham, Alabama as Represented on his traditional Jersey 205, for the area code for Central Alabama. Ruben played football and went to Alabama A&M when he recieved a university scholarship. Ruben then leaned over towards the singing career. Then majors in singing. Ruben went to go sing with Just a Few Cats for a while. Then during the group performances Sherita Duff, a backround singer of Just a Few Cats asked Ruben Studdard to go sing in Nashville for the existing title of american idol season 2.
Ruben Studdard the "American Idol" has made it to the top. He won against MILLIONS of people that tried out for this show and hasn't succeeded. Only a few like Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Justin Guarini, and the american idol himself Ruben Studdard, have succeeded in life through this one show. The light of stardom was now shining upon these people with the talent of a pop star, and the personality of a average person.
Ruben is very big of course. The bigger the better. But the big man has a BIGGER voice. Something to stand out to the crowd. Something to get the crowds attention. Something to get the crowds heart pumping. He did alot for this show and in the first place he didn't want to get involved. It just seemed to happen all at once and maybe a bit to fast for Ruben. But Ruben is standing tall. The supporting of the fans, the supporting of his family, and himself. Nothing stands in his way.
Ruben has appeared in many TV shows and has been interviewed all over the place. Many fans LOVE Ruben and would just die for him. After a while he disappeared and then he came back with his album and it was a bang. "Soulful" His debut album hit the Billboards and hit the number one spot in first week sales and the sales are still going up. He has made his song "Sorry 2004" into his smash hit on TRL and BET. Ruben has made a large change in the way people listen to music. Mixing alittle of Luther Vandross, Barry White, with alittle spice of todays works of many R&B artists. Ruben will be on tour soon and will be releasing his next hit single from his album "Soulful". Be sure to get your copy today because, boy, if you don't your missing oput on alot. With his debut album his bypassed alot of artist and sold 416,000 copies of his album "Soulful" in his first week. Not only that he also snagged a nomination for a NAACP award. Not only that he also has a nomination for a Grammy.
