I have always been a Music Lover and formerly was a singer and actress in Stage Musicals, Film and Television Commercials in my younger years and I had dreams of being a Country singer.
The Film Industry took over my life for few years but when I fell in love and married a Blues Artist, music again became an everyday part of my life.
I now actively promote/book Bands and help coordinate/organize Music Events, Concerts and Festivals throughout the Southern California area and I have my own Music Publishing/Distribution company.
I am the Entertainment Chair for the Santa Clarita Valley "Relay For Life", which is the 10th largest in the United States, and the 12 hour "Music For The Cause" Festival.
Also, I am the President of the Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society which has some incredible Blues & Jazz Artists that are very active in the West Coast Music Scene and I am the Publisher of the Society's "Blues News" weekly newsletter and the Webmaster for the Society's websites:

The other half of my life is devoted to my Film & Television Career as a Set Decorator on the CBS show "NCIS", which has taken up a huge portion of my time. I am a current member of IATSE - West Coast, SDSA and ATAS. I am a past member of SAG, AFTRA, NABET, IBEW and IATSE - East Coast.
Much of my time off from work is spent putting together Music Fundraisers and Society events and also working with the American Cancer Society as a Legislative Ambassador and thru the Cancer Action Network. This is an interesting position since it involves working with our local, state and federal government and actually visiting and speaking with our Senators and Representatives in their local offices and also in Washington, DC during the Celebration on the Hill. We are working hard on winning the war against Cancer. This particular war has become my mission in life since I lost both my wonderfully talented husband and my 16 year old Himalayan cat to Cancer in 2008.
I also spent quite a few years as a Professional Hot Air Balloon Pilot on the East Coast before moving to California. I was the first female Professional Balloon Pilot to be licensed in the Southeastern United States and was also the Chief Pilot for the Coca Cola "Grand Prix of Ballooning" for several years, traveling all over the country putting on Exhibitions, Balloon Races and entertaining the Press. Because of my crazy Ballooning adventures, I have just been asked to become a member of the Society of Women Adventurers. I'm also an sailor, have a 52' Cutter Rigged Ketch and am a member of the Redondo Beach Yacht Club.
I love to meet more Talented Musicians, Radio Stations, Record Labels, Music Promoters, Music Reviewers, Entertainment Booking Agencies, Music Fans and anyone else interested in "Hot Rock & Blues" and keeping the Artform Alive! |
