RWS (then known as Dogs In General) formed in December 2004 as a covers band. The original bassist left, and the band temporarily disbanded. Then, in February 2005, DIG reformed and wrote their first songs [The Random Song, Little Drummer Boy, Alone + Lazy and The Last Call]. They recorded their first EP shortly afterwards, and then David joined as a second guitarist. They then changed their name to Running With Scissors. RWS never had a bassist.
Running With Scissors have now split up.
RWS blends an eclectic mix of metal and funk added to the rawness and simplicity of old-skool punk and 90s Grunge, and complete with some classic rock soloing, catchy guitar riffs and insane drum beats, this band is unlike the boring MTV rock you hear on the radio every day. Their main influences include CKY, Iron Maiden, Metallica, AFI, System of a Down, HIM and AC/DC as well as music from all four corners of the planet from the 20th century onwards.
