Geddy Lee- Lead Vocals, Bass- past few years has released solo albums with former soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron.
Neil Peart- Percussion, Song writer- Neil Peart has proven to be one of the best drummers of all time, his high paced drum beats involved with GUT BUSTING solos are impossible to resemble. Rush's pause in the 90's is due to Peart's tragic loss of family members including his dad, then a couple months his daughter who died in a car accident.
Alex Lifeson- Lead guitar- Alex Lifeson solos are geared toward "progressive Rock" and mostly are played one 1 string, his finest works are easily shown on the cd Rush Retrospective 1974- 1985.
Rush proves to not be hard or soft rock, Progressive rock is defined as long guitar solos semi rock, semi soft rock, scientific themes ex. overtures and other scientific things.
