From behind the smog-veiled orange curtain, Southern California’s THE SCARRED have made a mission of returning to the roots of punk rock and bridging the gap between modern street punk and the inspired sounds of 1977. THE SCARRED formed in 2003, a core of the most dedicated individuals
from the ashes of several local OC bands. After self-releasing their debut album in early 2004, THE SCARRED have spent the last year and a half playing over 120 shows during five U.S. tours in every available venue that they could find. From clubs to basements to deserted shacks, THE SCARRED have left no stone unturned in their mission to blitzkrieg the country, bringing the sounds of suburban angst and alienation from coast to coast. After quickly selling out of the first 1000 copies of their self-released debut, THE SCARRED followed up with a split 7" release with New Jersey’s Void Control to many positive reviews. All the while continuing to tour and play locally alongside the likes of Cheap Sex, Menace, Naked Aggression, Greg Ginn, The Havoc, Mad Parade, the Skeptix and many more. In 2005, the band’s hard work caught the attention of Punk Core Records who will be sending the band back into the Studio in late 2005 to record their second pulse-pounding full length album.They’ve made their mark as one of the hardest working bands in the underground punk scene today. Now it’s time for the rest of the world to see what THE SCARRED are all about.
