| Sean Tabor is a Bay Area native that has recently emerged into the San Francisco music scene. As a weekly resident performer at MATRIXFILLMORE and KT's (Kelley's Tavern) Sean keeps himself busy playing 3-4 times a week as a full time singer/songwriter. In the beginning of 2006 Sean was lucky enough to start working with Finnish drummer Andre Sumelius, who quickly assembled what would be the other memebers of the band "SpeakEasy". Howard Wiley, who went on to produce this album, is featured on the Tenor and Soprano saxophone. David Ewell on the upright bass, and Erik Jekabson on the Trumpet. Every memeber of the band currently resides in the Bay Area, most of who have spent the majority of their lives playing music here. This music represents the combination of the top Jazz artists in the area, with an alternative singer/songwriter. The culmination of the 2 results in a vintage Speakeasy feel that is reminicent of the 20's, but still has a place in the modern music scene. |
