Three guys- Ben Curtis, guitarist and vocalist, Brandon Curtis, bassist, keyboardist and vocalist, and last but not least Josh Garza, drummer. Their story begins in Dallas, Texas. In 2000, Josh and brothers Ben and Brandon got together and formed Secret Machines. Their decision brought them to New York. They stopped in Chicago where they recorded at a friend's studio.
"We knew that living in New York would be such a drain on our finances that we wouldn't be able to afford to record after moving there," Brandon explains.
New York didn't start off good. The band found themself staying in an apartment with no hot water in November. They found jobs during the day and erhearsed at night. Their Chicago tracks were released but didn't recieve high popularity.
After a road trip to Southern California, the band returned to New York and worked on their album "Now Here is Nowhere." The album was released in May of 2004. Secret Machines is gaining popularity and their video for Nowhere Again can be found on tv.
