| I got my first guitar when I was in the seventh grade. I started messing around with the thing although I didn't really know what I was doing. I taught myself how to play decently, but started taking formal lessons in the 9th grade. After a few months of lessons, I began writing crappy little rock songs, eventually developing my own way of writing and playing. As far as the bands go, it all began in 2002 with the Kids With the Lamp. Then it went to Vagrants, who later became Bombs Away! After that, it was on to a brief stint in Oskaloosa. After that, Glorious Uprising. Thanks to a lousy biker bar in St. Louis, it is now a solo thing. I write lyrics almost every day and write music all the time. My music comes from personal experiences, people in my life, and everything else I experience in life. Nearly every one of my songs is about someone I know, love, care for, have been screwed over by, and etc. Anyway, thanks for your support. I hope you like my stuff. You can check out more of my music at www.audiostreet.net/shawnbrodie. You can find out more about me at shawnbrodie.cjb.net. Thanks a lot. |
