The Shins
This Albuquerque, New Mexico group began in 1997 and consists of James Mercer, Jesse Sandoval, Marty Crandall, and Neal Langford. The group first began touring with friends, Modest Mouse. Their single, “New Slang,” was released in 2001. Later that year, The Shins released their debut album entitled Oh, Inverted World. Soon after the release of their debut album, The Shins toured with Preston School of Industry and Red House Painters. In November 2003, The Shins are expected to release their new album. Thus, they have been on promotional tours and late-show performances.
