Sigglecow came into being in October 2003, when Bert realized that his cheap computer recording program (yay Cakewalk!) could be used for more than just making horrible cover songs. It could record his horrible originals, too! He set to work, releasing an EP ("My First EP") in March 2004. Not much happened, although Bert was contacted by someone who wanted to put "Requiem" on a compilation. Several months later, he started work on a full-length LP. Eventually, on May 24, 2005, he released "Idiot Savant," and the world was suddenly a better place. Okay, well, the reaction wasn't that big, but there were many more people clamoring for a copy. (They ARE free, why wouldn't you clamor?) Between the increasing awareness of the music, and Bert's mass marketing ideas, you can expect to hear more from Sigglecow in the near future, and for a very long time. Check out http://sigglecow.tripod.com for more information and regular news updates. And by the way, the CD's are FREE, so if you want a real copy (and not three downloads), email Bert and he'll send one right out to you.
UPDATE: (2/1/06) I am looking to play some shows around Wisconsin this summer/fall. I need a drummer, bass player, and rhythm guitarist in order to do so. If you're interested and live near Oshkosh, email me. sigglecow2@hotmail.com |
