Sikadime is an emerging Canadian hip hop artist from the Niagara Region of Canada. Originally from Victoria BC, Sikadime has become a hip hop icon at the age of 24 with over 30 albums/eps under his belt. In 2003, Sikadime made noise and history when his group Tha Pacolyps(himself and his then DJ name Flipsyde) signed to Tha Row Underground which was a subsidiary label of Death Row Records. The label eventually folded almost a year later due to Suge Knights legal problems. The group broke up and Sikadime merged as a solo act in 2004 when he signed on as an in house music producer for upstart Bronx, New York label Bomb Baby Entertainment to eventually leave the label when a family emergency took place.
In 2005, Sikadime took a hiatus from music and came home to Niagara. On December 19th 2006, Sikadime released his indie classic "Rejuvenated" featuring all production from Sikadime and collaborations with Moka Only, Jay Plot 1-3ra & Los Tha Don. The album exceeded expectations. In November 2007, Sikadime made Canadian history as the first Canadian hip hop artist to collaborate with B Real of Cypress Hill and becomes an affiliated member of the Cypress Hill family. Since then he has released 3 more albums in 2008, become affiliated member to Toronto's own Monolith crew and is a featured artist on Coast 2 Coast Mixtape Vol. 58 hosted by Lupe Fiasco with his new single "Strong Hold" featuring Dan-e-o & Shamon Harage of Monolith from his upcoming album "Carpe Noctem" which he is keeping tight lid about cameos and production. |
