SilverSteel is a Los Angles based hard rock power-trio that blisters. All songs have catchy hooks and amazing musicianship. The band has toured and played gigs and festivals from Los Angles to New York and always pleases the fans. They recently inked a deal to be in a major upcoming rock n’ roll oriented movie.
The band consists of Marcus Silver who is the founding member, writer, guitarist and vocalist. Norwegian native Dag Flater on bass and backing vocals and Argentinian native George “JJ” Iacobellis on drums. Dave Schulz, known for his work with the Goo Goo Dolls amongst many others also plays keyboards on some songs.
Marcus Silver moved to Los Angles from London, England where he was working as a motorcycle messenger because he was about to get another driving ban. He thought he would do better in Hollywood and was not disappointed when he found Dag and JJ.
Dag moved to Hollywood where he studied at and graduated from the Musicians Institute. Dag plays bass to the limit with dazzling fills and solos.
JJ's versatile drumming allows him to play all the songs as well as they can possibly be played from soft, slow and quiet parts to pounding the drums at the speed of sound and with the brutal force of a sledge hammer - and always with unwavering tempo!
The talent and versatility of all the players really helps to create the musical magic and sparkle that shines through on every single song. There is no "filler material". Each song rocks from the slower more melodic songs like Heart Breaker with classical intros right through to the heaviest fastest songs. When they play you just feel the electricity in the air.
The band has received air play on KNAC for the song “My Way”. The band also had a video for the song “On the run from the law” in heavy rotation on several cable shows including Rock TV.
