Simon Daum is a young composer from Germany who has just finished his
first CD.
His musicial training includes two years of piano lessons when he was 8
years old, and a few years of practicing the trumpet. One of the reasons
he stopped taking piano lessons was because he wasn't satisfied with
playing "songs which everyone was playing". Composing has always been
his greatest love.
Although Simon can barely play songs which are notated, he
has been able to reach people with his own compositions. People describe
his music as being full of emotion, uplifting, and very calming. Simon
has been involved in a few CD projects, where he contributed with his
music. He also composed a piano tune for a smaller movie and was just
recently asked to write the score for a feature film.
Simon's music is mainly influenced by his beliefs and his great love
for nature. Being a musician has always been his greatest dream.
Even though music is not his profession, he feels that he has made this
dream come true. Only one dream is yet to be fulfilled: to
compose the score for an entire movie with professional support, since he
has never learned how to write down music or how to conduct an orchestra.
The greatest success for Simon though, is to see how other people feel
better after listening to his music. May you enjoy listening as much as
he enjoyed composing it
