Simple Folk
Simple Folk is a new project of mine that is the banner under which I will record and perform some uncomplicated, easy to listen to, sing along songs, in mainly a folky style. Sometimes just for the fun of it and sometimes with something serious to say, but always with sincerity.
The whole idea behind Simple Folk is that it is all about the song, and so the instruments are mainly just acoustic guitars and voice, and it is all kept very basic and raw, trying to keep the atmosphere and integrity of a stage performance with the odd imperfection here and there kept in.
My favourite track at the moment is Victory, which I often find hard to sing as I get overwhelmed by the emotion of wishing the message will eventually be reality. The Victory of course will be when people can set aside all their differences and live together in peace. You will find Victory on my Music Store. I hope to align myself with one of the newly emerging PEACE movements with this one and donate at least 50% of any sales income towards promoting peace.
