Putting all musical aspects aside, I refuse
to get defensive and start offending people
that like simple plan. Its everyones
individual right to decide what to listen to.
I give them credit for capturing such a huge

Really. Picture this: A band whose lyrics
revolve around how horrid their life is,
whose vocals are whiny-sounding, and sound is
just as dreadful.
Yep, that would attract a large number of
tween fans who were never exposed to more
complex sounding music, and claim to

your teenage years and figure out how to make
a mountain out of a mole hill. Put in in
simple whiney lyrics and find a market to put

I will agree, their music is not the most
complex arrangement I've ever heard. Even
so, they've got catchy lyrics and its easy
to listen to. That often appeals to a
younger crowd. I was the same way when I was
a teenager and I can still enjoy it for what
