May 5th, 1988 on a calm Springtime in Bolton, Ontario, Skye Sweetnam is born. She grew up in a small town, filming with her video camera and multicolored Sharpies. All she wanted to do is to have fun, despite having a stay-at-home mother and a father who runs a gravel business, she always had music coursing through her veins. She started playing guitar and writing her songs... A promising act.
\"I don\'t need to read Billy Shakespeare / Meet Juliet or Malvolio\" is a sentence from Sweetnam\'s first single, \"Billy S\", which was featured in the Mandy Moore movie \"How to deal\". Who could have guessed Skye would become the next big thing?
Beeing signed with Capitol Records,Pop/Rocker Skye Sweetnam has saved her mark among the greatest musicians by touring with Chart-topping singer Britney Spears and R&B diva Kelis.
Having such musical inspirations, Skye had no chocie but to make an album. The result is \"Noise From the Basement\", a perky pop-rock album, cowritten by Sweetnam, that she proudly tells is influenced by Frank Zappa, Pantera and the musical Cats.
The first video named \"Tangled up in me\" was filmed in a very creative way. \"This song is about discovering a relationship\", tells Skye. Other very interesting tracks on the album are \"Number One\", a cover of \"Heart Of Glass\" and the quirky \"I don\'t really like you\".
Keep on rocking music, Skye!
