SLICE
As the creative genius responsible for the majority of his own beats, C.E.O. and producer extraordinaire SLICE is guaranteed to captivate the music industry! His thought-provoking lyrics grasp reality and attack every song with great intensity. Born James Barron in Warren, Ohio, this six-foot-six lyrical philosopher has been rapping from a very early age. Moving to Atlanta at the age of 14 only brought him closer to realizing dream of becoming successful in the music industry.
SLICE started his music career off as one half of the duo, Kollektev Minz (formerly Two Tight) that included partner in rhyme, and friend Mighty Joe Young. He has performed at a diverse number of Atlanta hotspots including: The Velvet Room, Jazzy T's, Celebrity Rock Cafe´, The Crowe's Nest II, as well as other venues. His long list of songs consists of "The Buzz" which has appeared on WRFG 89.3 in Atlanta and "The South is Real", which was featured on Web World Records Internet Radio. His solo project entitled, The Missing Peace, and the first single, "Yall 8 Tough", is set to be released this summer.
Pouring his soul out on every track he touches, SLICE's innovative flow is surely not to go unnoticed. He garners attention with his clever play on words that sparks a fire of emotion and will have listeners thinking twice all the while hanging on to every word. His strong poetic and candid lyrics enchant the crowd's minds as he emphatically displays various scenes of his life through his songs.
Though extremely modest and laid-back in person, this very well-respected artist, producer, and C.E.O. is no stranger to hard work. His intelligence radiates a keen sense of business suggestive of his degree in business administration. When asked how he separates himself from being an artist and C.E. O. on the same label, he says, "I step out of the realm of C.E.O. and put myself into the particular subject that I am writing about and use those emotions to bring that feeling alive. In essence, I feel my lyrics." And his words are definitely something that everyone can feel.
Stating that "teaching others" is his purpose and what also keeps him motivated, SLICE explains that he is the "missing peace" which means, "I complete every person I come in contact with." With that said, and from his demonstrated track record, SLICE is destined to prove himself as the missing peace to any puzzle!
