| I am 6 feet 5 inches tall, and 38 years old. I was born in Monroe, Wisconsin in October 4, 1967. I started to sing at an early age because my mother would sing all the time and make me and my sister join her.....so naturally we would. I learned keyboard first mostly because it came naturally to me cause mom would play piano and the accordian to with her dad. I would sit by her side and sing and mess up her songs on the left side of the piano, while she played the right side of the piano...he he he!!! It never bugged her though....she just kept right on playing the piano. I never learned the accordian though, it is really hard! i learned the guitar later through the years when my dad got me one acoustic when I was 7 or 8 years old I think. I just went from there. I sang in church chorus groups, grade school choir, went to competitions in high school, and so on. It took time to learn all the instruments I know now, but I had to learn them because I wanted to be a singer and a writer for a career, and it was not a good career to choose at that time for jobs and money were not readily at hand. I was poor and had to struggle for years, in and out of relationships, travelling everywhere, until I hit 33 years old. I realized I had better put it together or I would never make it......To be in a band is total commitment, not just part-time. You either go it all the way or not at all. So all my time and money went to my equipment, and books, and so forth. I am now just waiting for the big ticket, just like the song Kid Rock wrote, how he felt like number one, yet he was last in line.......then, he made it to the big time!!! I eat and sleep Slick 33. I tried to get others in my band, but all they did was drink and spend the money from shows on more booze and drugs, and I saw my own dream fading, so I just went my own way....and you know, it has been the best thing I could ever have done!!!! |
