SMALL was created in July 2000 in Paris (France). Thanks to the musicians different personalities and influences , the band has managed to create radical style which mix smashing riffs, virulent vocals and quality drumming. SMALL plays what we can call FULLMETAL. In March 2002, SMALL showed its ability with the recording of a first demo (self-produced) acclaimed by the French metal underground. It was also reviewed in French national magazines and on websites. Thus, the band s motivation was strengthened and its determination sustained. SMALL played its first gigs at the beginning of 2003 with many french bands, topping the bill most of the time. February 2004: Recording of a new 5-tracks CD Small (300 units released) in order to promote the band in France and abroad. It can be found in several skaters and metal shops in Paris. 2005: SMALL is on the road (several dates throughout France). Recording of a new 6 tracks CD No power without control in Paris Recorded and mixed By Francis Caste, one of the most promising French sound engineer.
As the making of the CD was still under process, promotion kept on and SMALL managed to appear on the ROCKONE (French magazine) Sampler in July/August 2006-November 2006 and on several compilations such as Entre ciel et terre from the FRENCHMETAL webzine and POETRY OF THE DEAD VOL 2... Worldwide reviews depicted this recording as very professional, powerful and efficient. SMALL has now played more than 50 live dates in France and Europe. 2007, SMALL has been regularly played on the New York webradio BREAKTHRURADIO.COM (DJ Darkside show) since January, the 1st. SMALL is also regularly broadcast on the American webradio WRBC 91.5(based in Maine). A video of the band can be watched on their website. SMALL is currently on a distribution deal with WILD PALMS MUSIC and can be downloaded through the sites VirginMega.com,FNAC.com… The band has just signed a management contract with NECO NETWORK, a Japan based Company. SMALL found a manager called Helen who is working with RODEO SUPERSTARS INC and PLASTIC SURGERY too. With this first 6 tracks recording, a totally professional and attractive piece of work, the band puts its potential and abilities forward and now can be taken as seriously as several American bands. SMALL should soon appear as an outsider on the international scene. In order to keep on developing its musical project the band is now looking for professional partners. SMALL |
