Son of Sam is the result of a desire to pursue a musical project. Consisting of Davey Havok (AFI) Todd Youth (Samhain) London May and Steve Zing, Son of sam combines the sounds of AFI with daveys vocals, Danzig, and Samhain with Todd's guitar work. It all began in '99 when Todd called Davey and asked him if he would like to contribute lyrics to a side project of his. Davey ended up recording vocals for 4 songs, which turned into 10 songs, and finally turned into an album. There have been rumors of touring, but all members have squashed them saying they are too busy with their full time bands. But who knows? If all the members are in the same place on the same date, a show might happen.
