S.O.W.A. comprises two guys and a girl in their twenties. They are completely self-taught, and are big followers of experimental acts like Tortoise and Mogwai.
They are led by Smiley Oreo - an industrial designer and visual artist who composes and arranges most of the sounds on a prehistoric 4-track recorder.
The three members live in different countries, in different continents. Hence they meet up only twice a year to make music.
They don't follow any particular style of music, and their material is inspired by poetry, landscape photography and the plight of endangered animals.
