STD started as part of the 2005 Stairway To Stardom Program for Skips Music in Sacramento as a band called Syndrome where they are paired with a professional musician/coach. For 6 weeks they wrote, practiced, and ultimatley performed 3 original compositions at a concert venue for family, friends, media and celebrity judges.
After the program was over Stephen (Bass), Thomas (Drums) and Dalton (Guitar) decided to stick together and convinced their coach Steve Mahoney to mentor the band. Steve, a veteran of the music scene, also performs as vocalist for the band.
STD has built up a steady following since their initial show with a consistent draw of 150- 200 fans per show. They have graced the stages of the big Sacramento venues and already been requested by many Sacramento area music veterans.
STD has a 3 song EP, "Something To Do". The band’s eagerly-anticipated full-length CD, "Spreading The Disease" will be available in March 15, 2008, with a regional tour to follow. STD is endorsed by Hot Picks USA and DW Drum Hardware
