Steelcox traces his musical road ...
STEELCOX French singer and songwriter
of more than 150 songs and instrumental works.
Steelcox will never forget the superb moments he spent with his friends of his first rock'n'roll group which was born when he began his musical activities in the southern Paris area. “It is true, I already strongly dreamed to be able to write many good songs and play them on scene with my group of buddies musicians and perhaps even in places where our larger idols had occurred…” Steelcox remembers.
As a singer of group YSEE-A, during several years he made many performances in Paris and in Paris area and in all possible circumstances! In parallel, he continued his studies of music for composition and worked singing with Christiane Legrand.
Having started with the scene, he was presented to national competitions such as Fontaine d'Or and Aix' Or sponsored by the SACEM and the French Ministry for the Culture, where he appeared as a finalist with his song “Comme un Indien d'Amérique" (Like an Indian of America). He occured in the large dance halls and the Parisian cabarets, theatres and arts centres in Paris area and Province.
He was first of all noticed by Michel Denisot on the great French radio RMC with “Miss Ice Cream”, then by Joelle Goron on this same antenna with “J'attends pour demain" (I'm waiting for tomorrow). He was then invited on many radios with interviews and diffusions of his songs on the following great French radios : Europe1, France Bleu, France Inter while Europe2, Radio France, Nostalgie and the Band FM which granted diffusions to him on their antenna of his songs “Elle repense à la West-Caost" (She's thinking again of the West-Coast), “Les lumières du highway" (Lights of the highway), “Lunettes noires" (Black glasses) and “Voleur de femmes" (Women robber) ...
His friends musicians who quote him as “an example of tenacity” strongly encouraged him in the continuation of his course. He created his Home-Studio and was working for the composition (words, music and arrangements) of new songs which will pack his repertory.
Following the creation of his first website which is currently the subject of a good average of monthly visits, He thanks the numerous musical sites which are interested in his artistic work and offer to him in support a bond on their site. From 2000 to 2001, with the organizer Jean-Claude Roboly (lead-guitarist performer of the "Chats Sauvages" (Wildcats)), He took part in the arrival of BB King in Paris. The spectacle took place in the Large Auditorium of the Palais des Congrès of Paris in June 2001 during the International festival of the Guitar with Popa Chobby, John Williams and Stanley Jordan.
Steelcox is currently writing new songs and in the same time he is played on several webradios and radios.
