The Steve Hill Trio formed in 1995 when former drummer George Presley got together with guitarist/singer Steve Hill for a jam session with some other players. Three nights later, this musical conglomeration , consisting of five players at the time, played their first date. After several changes, including adding Steve Evans on bass, The Steve Hill Trio was born. All of the band members were associated with The J.B. Strut Band, a touring blues/rock act out of Fort Worth, Texas in the early to late 1980's, and the Trio operates out of the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area today. Their latest CD contains 15 original songs that blend a mix of blues, rock, and soul styles into a sound that distinguishes them from any of the many other talented blues and rock acts in the DFW Metroplex.
Presley has since left the band as a permanent member due to health considerations, although he still subs with them on occasion. |
