Friday, August 28th, 2009 Steve Swindells joins Hawklords for benefit gig PRESS RELEASE
The Hawklords Headline An All-day Barney Bubbles Benefit Memorial Concert
The 229 Club, 229 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PN
Sunday 29th November, 2009 from 2 – 10pm
On 14th November 1983, the art and music worlds lost one of their most important and innovative figures with the death of the legendary graphic designer Barney Bubbles. His work as Hawkwind’s cover artist and stage-set creator established him as key figure in the Ladbroke Grove/Notting Hill counter-culture scene, whilst his subsequent work with Stiff Records (including his designs for Elvis Costello’s album covers and his fractured Kandinsky-esque cover painting for The Damned’s Music For Pleasure LP) established his relevance to the punk/new-wave generation. He directed the seminal video for The Specials’ ‘Ghost Town’ single, worked as art director at Friends magazine and was an early champion of Pennie Smith, who was to become one of rock’s most lauded photographers.
“Barney was, as far as media direction of the youth of this country, probably the most important artist of our generation.” Douglas Smith, interviewed by Jonathon Green, ‘Days In the Life: Voices From The English Underground’.
“...one of the most important graphic artists of his time.” Will Birch, ‘No Sleep ‘Till Canvey Island – The British Pub Rock Scene’.
Barney Bubbles’ long-time friend and admirer, former Hawkwind saxophonist Nik Turner, has been instrumental in organising this memorial concert celebrating the life and achievements of this most singular of multi-media artists, with a view to setting up a foundation/annual award for innovative album cover design, and a memorial plaque for him...
Headliners THE HAWKLORDS, featuring Adrian Shaw, Alan Davey, Harvey Bainbridge, Jerry Richards, Martin Griffin, Nik Turner, Ron Tree, Steve Swindells and Terry Ollis will perform Hawkwind’s 1973 stage extravaganza, Space Ritual, up-dated to 2009, supported by The New Bubblettes dancers and lighting designs inspired by Liquid Len & The Lensmen.
The day’s extensive line-up also features key 70s Notting Hill band QUINTESSENCE, The Damned founder-member Brian James, fronting his own BRIAN JAMES GANG, Nik Turner’s INNER CITY UNIT and the band created by Barney Bubbles, THE IMPERIAL POMPADOURS.
Pentameters Players will perform their acclaimed staging of ROBERT CALVERT’s play, ‘The Stars That Play With Laughing Sam’s Dice’.
Also appearing during this memorial concert: JERRY FITZGERALD/LOL COXHILL’S ‘FRE-EX, TRIKIMIKI’S ‘3-D SPACE-WARP’, and D.J. JEFF DEXTER

This is 'Demos For The Departed', Steve Swindells' double album of home recordings and studio demos from the mid-80s right up until the present day (recorded using Garage Band on a MAC PRO at home, that's all the newer songs). Steve recently reached #3 most-played on iSound and is a multi-talented singer/songwriter/producer/musician and the lead singer in the band DanMingo. He is also musical director of the legendary Hawklords, who recently reformed - www.hawklords.com
Just about everything is played, programmed and sung by SS, apart from the 'ah ah ahs' on 'My Pocket Guru' from Lady Sovereign (2008), the trumpet on Barcelona from Sade's sidekick(who's name, I'm ashamed to say, I've forgotten, well, it was '85 or something), the electric guitars and additional high backing vocals from James (The Korgis) Warren on The Last Chance Saloon and Way To Go (1995) and then all the groovy electric guitars on several more recent tracks (unless it's SS faking it on the keyboards) from the inimitable Jerry Richards. Enjoy!
Steve was/is in space rock band Hawklords, pop band Pilot, and has had two solo albums on major labels: Messages (RCA 1974) and Fresh Blood (Atco/Wea 1980). FResh Blood is being released for the first time on iTunes etc and on CD on July 27th 2009 (http://cherryred.co.uk/atomhenge/product.php?display=ATOMCD1015)
His band DanMingo www.isound.com/danmingo) features some famous musicians and Steve's songs have been covered by Hawkwind, The Who's Roger Daltrey and Lulu, amongst others.
He has collaborated with Jerry Richards on his Earth Lab project, UK rapper Lady Sovereign, R&B singer Christian Karter, Spirits Burning & Bridget Whisart, Loretta Heywood (Bomb The Bass), Shanks (of Shanks & Bigfoot) and the mysterious Wicked Uncle Woo on more funky stuff, along with many other notables, then and now... |

| Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 Barney Bubbles' Blog... by The Mighty Thunder Rider. THUNDER RIDER SPEAKS
I'm talking about the Barney Bubbles memorial concert at the Roundhouse and Barney, my inspiration, collaborator and friend.
Some months ago i was involved in organising a memorial, benefit concert for Robert Calvert in Herne Bay, to celebrate Robert's life and his creative work. Featured was a band comprised of people who had worked with Robert:
Steve Swindells, Martin Griffin, Harvey Bainbridge (basically the original Hawklords), plus myself ('The Mighty Thunder Rider' of the original 'Time of the Hawklords' book) and Adrian Shaw, Jerry Richards, Alan Davey, Ron Tree, the lovely Miss Angel, and a guest appearance by Commander Jim Hawkman.
Also included at the event were two of Robert's plays, 'Cattle at Twilight' and 'The Stars That Play With Laughing Sam's Dice', performed by The Pentameter Players. The band Maximum Effect also performed. The event was used to raise some money for Robert's wife, Jill Calvert, and was an unqualified success.
Then, a Sunday Implosion Concert at the Roundhouse was mooted, featuring the 'new' Hawklords performing the 2009 version of the original Hawkwind 'Space Ritual', as performed in 1973. I realised that Barney Bubbles had devised and designed the '73 Space Ritual stage show and presentation with Robert, who had conceived the idea. Barney had also realised Robert's concept, by designing the Hawklords album and tour '25 Years On', along with the stage set for Robert's play, 'The Stars that Play with Laughing Sam's Dice'.
A wonderful book called 'Reasons to be Cheerful', about Barney and his fantastic artworks, had been recently put together by Paul Gorman, and i thought that it would be a great idea to make the Roundhouse show into a memorial concert for Barney; to celebrate and highlight Barney's life and wonderful creative works, and bring him to the attention of a wider public. He is an unsung hero of the visual arts, inspiring many current young cutting-edge artists with his work, many of whom have been unaware of who he was.
The Space Ritual '09 would be inspired by Barney's original concept, where the stage and the band were the space ship, and the audience were what powered it to other worlds and dimensions, and incorporating Barney's use of the Pythagorean Music Of The Spheres, where a cord stretches across the cosmos, from base matter at one end, to pure spirit at the other, and revolving upon it were the planets of the Solar System, each producing it's own tone as it hurtled through space, and thus producing the basis for the western scale. Also incorporated would be astrological signs, ruling planets, and corresponding colours of members of The Hawklords, for use in the light-show, visuals and staging. There will also be a performance of Robert's play, with Barney's design, of 'The Stars that Play with Laughing Sam's Dice' by the Pentameter Players, and performances by Quintessence, friends of Barney, for whom he designed album covers, and Amon Doul 2. In short, a Barney quadruple-plus whammy!!
i first met Barney, through Robert, in the early days of Hawkwind, and we struck a chord in each other. I used to sleep on his floor quite regularly, and we had inspiring times together. He came to a Hawkwind gig and was awestruck.
My vision of the spirit within the band embodied a lot of concepts and ideals that Barney related to, and he was happy to put his creative energy into it, designing the 'Peace and Love' poster, and then the 'Xin Search of Space' album cover, log-book, and concept. and later the 'Space Ritual' album cover and stage concept.
He painted my motorcycle jacket, naming me 'The Thunder Rider', and went on to design the extraordinary Hawkwind album covers for, 'Doremi Farsol Latido', 'Hall of the Mountain Grill', 'Roadhawks', and 'Amazing Music and Astounding Sounds'. When i left Hawkwind and went to Egypt, partly inspired by our common interest in Egyptology and Ancient Civilizations, and recorded flute music inside the Kings Chamber of the Great Pyramid, and turned it into an album, Barney agreed to design the album cover of Nik Turner's 'Sphynx - Xitintoday', on condition that he could design it as concrete poetry/art, and use in his exhibition, and that he could choreograph the stage show, which he did, at the Roundhouse for the free, all-day concert which he and i put together, as 'Nik Turner's Bohemian Love-in'. After touring free festivals with this egyptian-esqe show, with my pyramid stage, i formed another band of high energy punk cabaret comic strip music, which Barney named 'Inner City Unit' (he got the name from the Islington Council community organisation). Barney was given some studio time by Nick Lowe, with whom he worked, in his studio, U.K. Pro, and he gave this to me to make a single with Inner City Unit. Trying never to miss a trick, i used the time to record the album, 'Pass Out'. Barney, of course, named and designed the album cover, doing part of it by throwing the pics in the air, and using them wherever they landed, and randomly spraying ink on the cover. Wonderful stuff. I put this out on my own record label, Riddle Records (you know, Sphynx-like!?). I later put out another two Barney-titled and cover-designed albums: 'Maximum Effect', and then 'Punkedelic'.
During this time Barney asked me to work on an album project with him, which became 'Imperial Pompadours - Ersatz'. one side was whacky impressionist (we only heard the songs long enough to cop the lyrics) expressionist rock and roll -Barney designed and produced it like visuals - and the other side was expressionist/costructivist political comment about King Ludwig of Bavaria (or King Louis, the dream king), Hitler, Wagner, and the woman in all their lives; all completely wild, whacky and off-the-wall: the lost psychedelic album.
During all this time I lived with Barney off and on, in various studios and houses, and we always had wonderful times together which were full of inspiration and creativity and weird, wild and whacky. He was a great fan of 'objects trouve´', and I feel a debt to him for all his help and inspiration over the years. It is therefore both a privilege and an honour to be part of this memorable memorial concert in honour of the great talent, artist, creative genius and man, my awesome friend, Mr. Barney Bubbles.
Barney I love you, my brother .

| Monday, August 4th, 2008 B4 It's Begun - New Mix! It's still an ongoing thing, even AFTER it begun.
B4 It's Begun (Apocalyptic Horses)
Am /E7 /Dm /Am /
I've got a reason to believe
that you're trying to deceive me...
Don't ask me why,
I don't reveal my sources...
It's all a lie.
Is this thing over b4 it's begun?
You tell me why it's all a lie.
Is this thing over b4 it's begun?
You tell me why...
Whatever you think, you're not home and dry...
I'm feeling many forces
and someone's being fly,
and testing my resources.
It's all a lie.
Is this thing over b4 it's begun?
Hey you, tell me why it's all a lie.
Is this thing over b4 it's begun?
You tell me why why why why.
Imagine being trapped in paradise,
with no escape or recourse.
Just broken baby butterflies... apocalyptic horses... apocalyptic horses...
Is this thing over b4 it's begun?
Is this thing over b4 it's begun?
Is this thing over b4 it's begun?
You tell me why.
Is this thing over b4 it's begun?
and your reason for being so fly.
Apocalyptic horses... apocalyptic horses...

| Monday, June 9th, 2008 New oldies! I recently rediscovered a DAT master tape of some demos from the 80s whilst looking for stuff to play for my mum for her recent 80th b/day. The song Barcelona was always one of her favourites. Found it! Along with three others - No More Than A good Time, We Dance Alone and The Beauty And The Beast (yo Vickeeee!). I don't actually have computer records of the lyrics because I didn't even HAVE a computer back then - I mean who'd want an AMSTRAD!? The HORROR! So you'll have to be patient while I retype them and post them on here as a blog sometime before the next decade. And some of The Beauty And The Beast is in French! How esoteric is that? Space this watch... and enjoy the new/old songs. Steve :-)

| Thursday, November 8th, 2007 In Your Eyes In Your Eyes
It started with a photograph that caught me by surprise,
it seemed as if you spoke to me directly with your eyes.
Your lips were poised to open and touch mine very slowly,
then my dream dissolved to darkness and the feeling was unholy.
The years of cruel awakening, the months of shifting roles,
the weeks of doing everything to find some heart and soul.
I would swim in your river, I could drown in your eyes,
we are taken, we are given, maybe driven to disguise.
In your eyes... we'd never say goodbye.
Too much hate in heartbreak city, it was not a pretty site,
so many broken children getting caught up in the spotlights.
Those crowds of clowns just left me cold and I longed for somewhere real,
where love could conquer loneliness and all the hurt would heal.
The years of cruel awakening, the months of shifting roles,
the weeks of doing everything to find some heart and soul.
I would swim in your river, I could drown in your eyes.
we are taken, we are driven, maybe given to surprise.
In your eyes... we'd never say goodbye.

| Thursday, September 27th, 2007 Six Degrees The lyrics to the last song, which I added later! That's the nature of blogs - you're forced to go backwards, sort of.
Six Degrees
Above and below the sea...
To some of those who ever loved me, I say sorry,
but it was not down to me.
(that) You made wishes that I flew above the trees...
Are you sorry that you threw away the keys?
To some of those who never loved me, I say nothing,
but I wonder why I am free.
to go fishing in an empty sea...
Is there anything more than, is there anything more than angry?
It's six degrees,
from the moon on the water to a melody.
It's six degrees - it's six degrees.
Just six degrees, just for you and just for me... whoever you may be.
It's six degrees... Six Degrees.
Here comes the renaissance...
Raise a smile for the beating of your heart,
you knew it was good when you finally understood
that the time had come to tear your world apart.
Here comes, here comes, here comes, here comes the renaissance,
it's another chance.
It's six degrees. It's six degrees from the moon on the water to a melody.
Six degrees. Above and below the sea. It's six degrees.
Just for you and just for me. Whoever you may be.

| Friday, September 21st, 2007 Oops - left out 'The Last Chance Saloon'... The Last Chance Saloon
In an urban forest, dead of night, dark shadows ply their trade.
Some whispered thoughts, expressions caught in pools of light and shade.
Some bodies may be captured in the freeze-frame of the moon,
while others wait for rapture in the last chance saloon.
On a magic carpet, voices low, with eyes of infra-red,
two pagan heroes out to show that ritual is not dead.
They're devil-may-care dancing to a different kind of tune,
then dreaming of romancing in the last chance saloon.
You know you've got to hold on, hold on, hold on to your self-esteem.
Yeah, hold on, hold on, hold on to... hold on to your dream.
Yeah you got to hold on.
So it's hello freedom, goodbye love, now your spirit can be free.
The darkness made you distant as you danced beneath the trees.
Tonight you dream supposing that the daylight's coming,
but the doors are never closing on the last chance saloon.
You know you've got to hold on, hold on, hold on to your self-esteem.
Yeah, hold on, hold on, hold on to... hold on to your dream.
You know you've got to hold on, hold on, hold on to your self-esteem.
Yeah, hold on, hold on, hold on to... hold on to your dream.
You got to hold on... hold on yeah.

| Thursday, September 20th, 2007 Demos For The Departed: Lyrics, Credits & Links This is a collection of home demos written, played, performed and produced by myself between the early 1990s and the mid-noughties in various places where I lived. The older songs were recorded using a fabulous Korg T2 keyboard/sequencer and a borrowed, rather battered, twelve track mixer, a DAT recorder and a Fostex 8-track (tape!) tape recorder. I learnt to engineer virtually overnight. Then MAC invented Garage Band in the early noughties and Studio Swindellini was born in NW London.
Two of the older songs were recorded in James (The Korgis/Stackridge) Warren's studio in my home town of Bath.

The Wisdom Of The Years
Too long in the wilderness, too long in the flame.
We light a fire, we walk the wire, I nearly know your name...
It aint easy, but you please me because you know there is no game...
There's nothing you should fear.
You saw, you came, you conquered shame...
it's the wisdom of the years.
No more tears.
Now you nearly hold me close, now you feel the same.
We learn to deal with how we feel, I nearly know your name...
It aint easy, but you please me because you know there is no game...
There's nothing you should fear.
You saw, you came, you conquered shame,
it's the wisdom of the years.
No more tears.
With the wisdom of the years, no more fears, no more tears.
Bring on the wisdom... bring on the wisdom...

Hello Lonely
The truth came back to find me; a vision that could blind me once again,
oh my friend, hello lonely once again.
You tried to make me tow the line, to step on out
to help me find a feeling with one of a kind.
Hello lonely, you've come back home again,
hello lonely, I knew you were my friend.
Hello lonely, I tried to comprehend,
hello lonely... but some things never end.
Hello lonely once again.
They say that we are islands.
You've come back into my land once again,
oh my friend, hello lonely once again.
I tried to make the quantum leap to where love conquers,
something deep and flowing... so where are we going?
Hello lonely, you've come back home again,
hello lonely, I knew you were my friend.
Hello lonely, I tried to comprehend,
hello lonely... but some things never end.
Hello lonely, you've come back home again,
hello lonely, yeah I knew you were my friend.
Hello lonely, I tried to comprehend,
hello lonely... but some things never end.
Hello lonely once again.
Hello Lonely.

The Wailing Wall
People getting paranoid
about the enemy within.
Tell me it’s a big surprise,
when two worlds start to spin
Sleepers...
Finders keepers...
Give me a new Jerusalem
beyond the wailing wall.
It’s the enemy within which takes your freedom.
It’s the enemy within, in search of Eden.
The wailing wall.
People getting politics
All mixed up with religion.
Sacrificing those they love
To hatred and division.
Sleepers...
Finders keepers...
Give me a new Jerusalem
beyond the wailing wall.
It’s the enemy within which takes your freedom.
It’s the enemy within, in search of Eden.
The wailing wall.
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy
for one and all,
The wailing wall

Way To Go
Way to, way to go - it's a way to go...
You've gotta break the rules sometimes,
when fate leaves behind fools you don't wanna know.
You've got let the river take you, delivered to a world
where you can grow... it's a way to go.
You can see the dreams before you,
with someone 'round to reassure you.
Anything could happen to you now...
so many things are going through you.
You've got to keep believing,
feel it burnin' down below... it's a way to go.
You've gotta turn the pain to pleasure,
the treasure you can gain is waiting to be shown,
it's a way to go.
You can see the dreams before you,
with someone 'round to reassure you.
Anything could happen to you now...
so many things are going through you.
You've got to keep believing,
feel it burnin' down below... it's a way to go.
That was the life you leave
feel it turning, start to slow... it's a way to go.

Love Has Many Levels
Love has many levels, like the quest for satisfaction,
when the only thing that matters is a mutual attraction.
Love has many levels, like the pain we cause to others,
then blame it on the hang-ups of our fathers and our mothers.
Love has many levels, from the shallow to the deep,
which make us blind to rules which say to look before you leap.
Love has many levels, from the valleys to the peaks,
the meeting of two minds goes hand-in-hand as bodies speak.
Against the grain we grow together, finding out just what we need,
like creepers twisting 'round a tree, we reach the sky and breathe.
We long for some simplicity, the sweetness and the light,
which fades with every sunset to the sanctity of night.
Love has many levels, as we leave behind our youth,
we find the deepest level when learn to tell the truth.
Love has many levels, like the voices in a choir,
which chase away the devils, whilst angels sing of hearts' desire.
There's love comes from instinct and there's love that comes from purity,
Sometimes we need to be admired, sometimes we need security.
There's love that comes out of the clouds, or love that's down to earth,
we test the water, dive right in... and swim for all we're worth.
Love has many levels, love has many levels,
from angels down to devils... the one's we know, the one's we don't.
Love has many levels, love has many levels,
from angels down to devils... the one's we know, the one's we don't.
The one's we know, the one's we don't.
Steve G Swindells (c) 1987
These vocals were recorded in a studio in South London where I got some free time in return for playing some keyboards on someone else's track. The backing track was programmed and performed entirely by myself, as usual, on my Korg T2.

New York Halloween
Ooh... New York... hello... hello... Halloween.
It's the best place and the worst place that you have ever been,
It's all the beauty and the beast that you have ever seen.
There are rocks and those hard places where you live a tortured dream,
then go mining for the fuel of love in never-ending seams.
Behind masks there may be blades, it's a New York Halloween,
dressing up and getting laid and in-between...
It's a New York Halloween... it's a New York Halloween.
Halloween, this is New York, this is New York, it's a New York Halloween.
We hooked-up on Sixth Avenue and Grand, just for a drink,
The photographs all flew away, I fell for you, I think.
In the flesh you were so beautiful and warm, beyond the screen,
I wish that I had slept some more, that my act had been more clean.
There was rain on my parade on this New York Halloween,
like the love we never made... the unforseen.
This is New York Halloween... this is New York Halloween. Halloween, this is New York. This is New York, hello Halloween.
Something beautiful, someone beautiful I've seen, someone beautiful, something beautiful, someone beautiful I've seen... it was like some unrequited dream.
This is New York, this is New York. So beautiful. On this New York, hello, Halloween. Hello, hello. This is New York, this is New York Halloween. Hello, hello Halloween. This this New York, hello, Halloween. Hello Halloween.
This is... this is, this is New York, this is New York, this is, this is Halloween.

What We Will Be
One day you'll maybe smile at me,
as you look into my eyes.
After all the miles we've travelled
through our bodies and our minds.
I am not blind - you are so beautiful to me,
and you blow my mind sometimes...
I feel so sad when I don't see you,
I hope that you agree.
I always thought that I could free you,
but we will always be, what we willl be.
And now I know you feel for me...
Like I never knew before.
When you know that there is magic,
then you never close that door.
I am not blind - you are so beautiful to me,
and you blow my mind sometimes...
I feel so sad when I don't see you,
I hope that you agree.
I always thought that I could free you,
but we will always be, what we will be.
Yeah we will always be what we will be.
We will always be what we will will be.

Carried Away
Once I could say that my life was lonely and loveless.
Friends I had many, but no one-to-one of the heart.
I gave myself to surviving and having a good time,
saving myself for my one true counterpart.
Now I look at my life as if I were flying.
the future brighter, the clouds all out of sight.
And all because I found someone who could show me a new way.
Carried away on a magic carpet ride... I've been carried away.
I've got a reason to live and I'm no longer afraid.
I've got somebody to give me enough of their love to get carried away.
And I've been waiting so long, it had happen some day.
I've got a feeling so strong, I know that it can't be wrong to get carried away.
Carried away, carried away.
There's too much pain in this world to miss such a good thing.
The more we show what we feel, the happier we'll be.
If all this laughter and love could be everlasting,
then I'd be carried beyond my wildest dreams.
I've got a reason to live and I'm no longer afraid.
I've got somebody to give me enough of their love to get carried away.
And I've been waiting so long, it had happen some day,
I've got a feeling so strong, I know that it can't be wrong to get carried away.
Carried away, carried away.
Steve G Swindells (c) 1995
Recorded on the old Fostex when I lived in a shoebox in Borough, with great views over South and central London. It was actually written in around 1986 on my Korg T2, when I lived in a tiny council flat in Walworth, South London.
But I couldn't record vocals, so I had to wait until I could.

Chatterton
Chatterton is hangin' out on Forty Second Street,
just another youth who found that truth gets trampled underneath your feet.
Chatterton is going 'round all those corridors of power,
to show his works to coked-out jerks, who never could smell a perfect flower.
Chatterton is dancing, with the spirit in his eyes, and he's waiting to communicate, but no-one seems inclined to try.
It's over now, the pain has gone, the love comes later,
far beyond the struggle to be recognized by all the so-called great and wise.
But inspiration never dies, the hope lives on in those young men's eyes, no inspiration never dies - the hope live on in all those young men's eyes.
Chatterton is walking on a wild deserted beach,
where the oil and foam have found a home, like love polluted, out of reach.
Chatterton is drinking in a another Soho bar and he's bouncing thoughts of those who ought to know just and what they are.
Chatterton is lying beneath an open window, once so fine and young,
'til those bells were rung across a green and empty meadow.
It's over now, the pain has gone, the love comes later,
far beyond the struggle to be recognized by all the so-called great and wise.
But inspiration never dies, the hope lives on in those young men's eyes, no, inspiration never dies - the hope lives on in all those young men's eyes.
Steve G Swindells (c) 1993.
This was recorded in the same shoebox in Borough, and again, was actually written in the late eighties.

I Got You
Is there such a thing as open when the world says ‘this is closed’?
Is there any point in hoping it’s the angel you supposed?
I got you – what I wanted
Everything I needed.
I got you – what I wanted…
Now watch while my heart bleeds.
You’re what I need (I got you)
You’re what I wanted (I got you)
You’re what I need (I got you)
You’re what I wanted (I got you)
Got you. 1.2.3, you’re good for me.
Could you break down all the barriers of prejudice and pain?
Could you break the mould, return to love and learn to live again?
I got you – what I wanted
Everything I needed.
I got you – what I wanted…
Now watch while my heart bleeds.
You’re what I need (I got you)
You’re what I wanted (I got you)
You’re what I need (I got you)
You’re what I wanted (I got you)
Got you. 1.2.3, you’re good for me
Will we ever be together, now that I got you?
Wanna know it’s now or never, now that I got you.
I got you – what I wanted
Everything I needed.
I got you – what I wanted…
Now watch while my heart bleeds.
You’re what I need (I got you)
You’re what I wanted (I got you)
You're what I want...what I want.
Yeah I got you. I got you. I got you...
