String Cheese incident consists of Michael Travis (percussions), Michael kang (mandolin / violin), Keith Moseley (bass), Bill Nershi (guitar), and Kyle Hollingsworth (piano). The group formed in 1993 in boulder, Colorado. They soon received a huge local club following. Only sic months after forming, String Cheese Incident was invited to perform at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Their payment was free lift tickets to numerous skiing resorts on the west coast of the United States. Soon after playing at the festival, the group became more serious about being a band. They played more than 170 live shows that year. They also set up their own label called Sci Fidelity Records. In 1997, String Cheese Incident debuted their LP entitled Born on the Wrong Planet. Later that year, they released A String Cheese Incident Live. In 1998, String Cheese Incident released Round the Wheel. In 1999, the group released a double live album called Carnival 99. In 2001, the group released Outside Inside.
