Suavé, is a concert/dance band based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Combining classic Latin Rock and Funk sounds of the 1970’s with the dance oriented Pop, R&B, and Salsa rhythms of today, Suavé has been described by Latin Rock Legend, Jorge Santana, as “One of the best bands currently on the Bay Area Music scene”. The group has now broadened its musical scope by performing classic rock hits from the 60’s & 70’s at their shows, to rave reviews. Suavé features talented, professional musicians that have toured and/or recorded with Pete Escovedo & The E Family, The Stylistics, Tower Of Power horn section, The Drifters, Malo, The Jorge Santana Band and Sapo. Most recently, members of Suavé performed at the Sausalito Art Festival as members of Jorge Santana’s band. That day they were able to be part of a unique musical event and experience, an impromptu jam session with the one & only, Carlos Santana.
Suavé’s powerful sound and top flight soloists are the perfect compliment to their energetic stage performances. This exciting show is available for corporate events, nightclubs, private occasions and major festivals. Showing musical diversity during their role as Jorge Santana’s back-up band, Suavé then established itself as original recording artists with the September 2003 release of their CD single, “Do U Remember Me?”. The song received rave reviews and was the #1 R&B single in over 100 countries for nine consecutive days on the Broadjam.com music review website. The CD single features the songwriting talents of Suavé bandleader/guitarist, Jerry Navarro Jr. and keyboardist, Zach.
Suavé is focused, now more than ever, on unleashing their diverse musical talents which cover a wider range of music styles than most Bay Area groups. There is no “faking it” here. Recent audiences unanimously agree, whether it’s Old School Funk, Latin Rock, R&B, Classic Rock or Blues, every style of music Suavé performs is the real thing, performed by musicians who excel at it.
As always......delivered Suavé style.
