| “Ashamed” is the Thieves’ most eclectic and complete release to date. Written as a full band for the first time ever, this album explores a darker side of S&THT that stems from Jeff Bettger’s previous music endeavors - Raft of Dead Monkeys, Ninety Pound Wuss. In light of this darker exploration, they also take a dive into gentler more pop oriented song writing. This album pulls out all of the stops and allows the band to experiment with sounds both vocally and instrumentally. Recorded at two different studios, the band captures the “rawness” of the darker songs and the beauty of the lighter songs. An amazing chapter in this band’s lifetime. |
