Trapped In Paradise
I was walking in Goa, India, on a bright night with brilliant stars, feeling a bit of a lemon. To my right was a Muslim boy and to my left a Hindu girl, and we all knew their relationship was not meant to be. Into the velvety air and to no one in particular but to her absolutely the boy quoted some Urdu scripture, which he translated as: I want to get to heaven but I don’t want to die. Cue for an album, thought I.
Which took forever to finish, was recorded in two continents and three studios, and with the collaboration of a host of wonderful musicians, friends, acquaintances and passers by.
It was truly a labor of love, and I hope that you have as much fun listening to it as we did recording it.
