May 15, 2008 - Sweet Angel, a native Memphian and a soul and blues recording artist, has signed a record deal with Ecko Records. Sweet Angel has been bubbling on the scene since the Spring of 2007 since the release of her explosive debut album “Another Man’s Meat on My Plate”. Just in time for the long hot summer, Ecko Records is set to release the new material on Sweet Angel within the next few weeks.
“Music has been a part of my life, all my life. I enjoy performing and I love singing about life lessons learned in my songs,” said Sweet Angel. Sweet Angel also says she “wants her music to matter to her listeners and be something they spend time with” and she “wants people to actually hear about the things that are relevant to people’s lives”.
It was stated by many that Sweet Angel would not remain an independent artist for long. Well, the statements were correct.

Another Memphis Recording Artist has made her way into the music world. That artist is Sweet Angel. She is a native Memphian. It has been said she is the "Flame of the Female Blues Artist".
Her debut album "Another Man's Meat On My Plate" made it to the Southern Soul Blues charts in March of 2007.
She was nominated [Blues Critic] as Best Performance - Female and Best New Female Artist in 2007.
