one month
it had now been exactly one month since i
went to the SOAD concert, the greates and
most religous experience of my life.

well religion is people believing in a higher
power that takes care of them, and this
higher power is a wonderful being and does
wonderful things. people worship this higher
power and show faith in it. now the
ressurection(sp?)of jesus christ was an
absolute miracle. a religious experience,
right?
well i believe SOAD is a higher power, and
they do wonderful things, so i show faith in
them and(almost)worship them. so in a sense,
i compared the concert to the
ressurection(sp?)of jesus because it was such
a great thing.
i cant believe it took me all that time to
explain it.

absolutely love it when someone gets so moved
by music that it impacts the very core of
their being in such a way as to be a
"religious" experience!!!
I just wish more ppl saw the depth in music
that you do with SOAD. What you said about
that concert is proobably the best compliment
you could have given SOAD!!

the master of the universe and start a whole

I now have the most bizarre image in my head

For some reason, Shavo doesn't feature. I

I must admit, poor John does look a bit like
a used car salesman.
Apparently the FBI opened a file on SOAD for
being "un-American" and
promoting terrorist actions (this was
following Toxicity's going to the
Billboard Number 1 on Sept 11). Funny,
because SOAD are not what I would call your

SOAD is presenting open ideas in their music
that is hitting the hearts and minds of many.
And some of those things are scary to the
power elite in the US.
So they ressurect Joe McCarthy, but use the
term "terrorist" instead of
"communist" in their charge of

on why the u.s. should recognize the armenian

That's a GREAT topic to do a paper on!!
Yeah, while we are "saving"
Iraq from the "evil one" there
are a whole load of genocides going on in the
world that we just don't care about.
I guess a genocide is only important if
"oil" is getting hurt, people
getting croaked doesn't seem to
matter.

yeah she was really interested, because
nobody had ever done anything on that topic.
she had a remote idea of what it was, but
didnt know much about it, so that was cool. i
still only got an 80 on it, cause i suck as
works consulted pages, but the point really
got across, and that all that matters. | SOADfreak |

blew her away by picking suck a relevant
topic and not just some fluff piece of
current event news to write about.

BTW, for you SoadFreak and all you others
writing papers who want a good grade, here is
a little trick to use to assure a good
grade:
Do your paper a couple of days early. Then
go to the teacher and ask her or him to give
it a quick look in its "draft"
form and ask them to give you some tips on
how to make it better.
They will read your paper and tell you
EXACTLY what to do to make an A. They will
think you are super for asking for their
help, and will reward you for it with a great
grade.
And the cool part is that they will have done
the work for you by telling you how to
improve your paper!!!!
