| After what may seem like an eternity to most, T-Effect has finally returned bigger and better than ever! With his long
overdue single “Backstab” scheduled for release this year, a brand new tour kicking off, and a top secret
project named “Planet T” scheduled to be revealed late 2005, the “T” is definitely bringing the “Effect” back.
T-Effects first major recording contract was signed with Sony Records. As the story goes, Sony Records was
looking for a cool black rapper to rap on a Techno track for a compilation CD. A friend from the TV show that T use to
appear on approached T telling him about the opportunity to go to a Sony recording studio and be featured on a track.
Even though T was a R&B/Hip-Hop guy and had never listened to a Techno track let alone try and rap on one, he
decided to give it a try. Long story short he blew the A&R guys away and the rest as they say is history.
T-Effect has performed in front of millions of people over the course of his career. He has performed in concert with
major artists such as Kool & The Gang, Bananarama, 2-Unlimited,Capella, Prodigy, Quadrophonia, Bizarre Inc and the
list goes on. T-Effects first major concert was opening for the group Black Box in front of a sold out capacity crowd
at the Tokyo Budokan. Since then T has performed in front of crowds of 65,000 plus with an explosiveness that can
only be described as amazing.
T-Effect (also known as Terry T or just plain T), was the front man for his Sony signed
group Subsonic Factor whose biggest hit was the track 2-B-In Love from the groups album called Echoes.
The single was such a great track that it was re-released eventually re-released even though by then the group had officially broke up.
After the groups demise, T launched his solo career. His hit single Vamo La Verdy went gold and became
the official support song for the professional champion soccer team Verdy.
The hits kept flowing with tracks like Silent Dance dedicated to the memory of F1 legend Ayrton Senna and jams
like Power featured in the Playstation game Bust A Move. T-Effects music has not only been featured in video
games but also movie soundtracks.
Besides being a talented recording artists, T has also modeled in print, television and catwalk for the likes of
fashion designer Koshin Sato and at one stage was even the official face for Casios popular keyboard the
Rapman. T was also a professional hip-hop/street dancer as a teenager with his career getting a boost when
he won 3 major televised dance competitions.
T has been blessed with multiple talents including being a naturally strong actor. The T has appeared in various
acting roles in his life both on stage and also TV. T-Effect was also a radio personality with his own radio shows
including his popular 3 hour radio show called Night In Motion which showcased his DJ and emcee skills. T's
talents saw him land the role as the official team DJ and announcer for the at the time number one professional
soccer team Verdy.
Another one of T-Effects major successes was being the front man for his group Raveman. The group has had
hit songs such as Pumpin, Fuckin Serious, Got To Be Funky and Shin-chan just to name a few. T's explosive
power made Raveman shows a memorable and very moving experience.
T who has also been a talented DJ since the age of 12, not only composes, writes and produces all of his own
music, but besides being an explosive rapper is an amazing singer thanks to his Gospel upbringing. Since the
young age of 8, in addition to singing in church and directing the youth choir, T was the church pianist and
played the drums as well. T-Effect discovered his passion for music and all things entertainment at a very
young age. T has been blessed over the years but the best is yet to come from this electrifying entertainer.
