Tenacious D is a band that originated in a studio apartment in LA. This band consists of two mambers Kyle Gass and his brother Jack Black. The started off by playing their first gig in '94 at Al's Bar in LA. At the time of the first gig they only had one song to perform, and that song was"Tribute." At that gig a man by the name of David Cross liked them a lot, so he took them to a comedy show in Hollywood at the Diamond Club. They played so often that they headlined Comedy Night at Pedros then at Largo. They did shows with Host Laura Milligan and guest stars like Ben Stiller and Jeaneane Garafalo. Bob Odenkirk and David Cross put the d on HBO, there they did a tv show that was later to be replaced by the Sopranos. After some time they signed a record deal with Epic Records and put out a record with the help of some very talented people like Dave Grohl, Page from Phish, Warren from the Vandals, Steve from Redd Kross and the Dust Bros. in the production seat. Then Spumco, the creators of Ren & Stimpy, made an animated music vidio for "Fuck Her Gently."
