Tenderones released their new promotional EP on March 31st. With new outgoing groove rock energy the band develops the alternative melancholic rock of the debut album.
Tenderones is a solid suggestion on a talented upcoming band on the Danish rock-scene who dares to break out of the melancholy. After the release of the debut album ”Tenderones” the band is now ready with the EP ”Rush Hour Ride”, which is supported by KODA, Danish Musicians Association and the City Of Aarhus.
The musical style of Tenderones is a groovy retro rock; a mixture of the 70’s drive-time rock n roll, the Danish American singer/songwriter tradition and the four band members’ special inputs and footprints. It is a musical melting pot that creates the bands own musical expression. The band consists of Mads Bloch (vocal, guitar), Johan Lyhne (drums), HC Bugge (guitars), Josef Baumgartner (organ) and Soeren Jensen (bass).
The EP is recorded and mixed in November and December 2006 by Danish recording legend, Tom Andersen, who for 25 years has recorded some of the top-selling artists of Denmark. The mastering was done in Cutting Room, Stockholm, by Björn Engelmann, who has also worked with Rammstein, The Cardigans and Kaizers Orchestra.
Since the new recordings were put on the bands myspace-profile in January, the requests for concerts in e.g. Denmark, Germany, Holland and France, and the requests for buying the CD’s, have increased rapidly. The band is currently sending CD’s to radio stations and networks and working on finding partners to release and distribute the music in Denmark, Germany and the rest of Europe.
”Union Of Hearts” was number 1 on the American Cashbox Magazine’s All Indie Chart, weeks 14 and 15.
In 2004 and 2005 Mads produced and recorded the debut album ”Tenderones” inviting more than 20 musicians to record with him. Musicians who also play with e.g. Ibrahim Electric, Caspar David and Hush. The band was put together in June 2005 and the album released in September the same year by LongLife Records.
