Friday, June 6th, 2008 Lucky Yes, lucky alright, lucky I wrote my way through my writers block, what a pain that was...
Anyway Grae and me are back on track with the new songs..(Well actually G never went off the track it was me, all me)
I did learn something tho', you cannot let it stop you nor get you down.
You MUST push through it, some of the stuff you may write during the block may look like shit but sometimes you gotta dig in the dirt to get to the diamonds...
Sweet sanctury and may you have a sparkling day..

| Tenebrae the band formed in Cairns, North Queensland, Australia in 2002. We have had a few lineup changes but the principle songwriters remain the same. As an original act in a predominetly cover band scene Tenebrae soon formed a loyal following from the local musicians and patrons of Cairns through a diverse range of styles and energetic live performances. Tenebrae recorded two CD albums the first "Ruff Dyminds" was recorded, mastered and mixed in 13 hours hence the very "live" sounding warts and all mix of 10 songs. Then we recorded "Only You" a more produced and time consuming effort that resulted in 5 great songs. The current band members come from New Zealand, Victoria and Western Australia with many years experience playing in various acts throughtout Australia. Tenebrae has been described as an honest hard working live act with the attitude of 'if we're not soaked when we get off that stage, we didn't work hard enough', but hey, don't take our word for it... Look out for the next recording coming soon in 2008. |

| Friday, June 6th, 2008 Music Just finished a 10 hour shift, feel remarkably awake..Being 3.31am 'n'all..
Hey isn't music interesting, how it presents itself to us and in turn, we reproduce it, as we believe it should be heard?
Have a spendiferous day..Deb-TENEBRAEtheband

| Saturday, April 26th, 2008 hello Hi there,
Mates it's been a while since we dropped in but be assured Graeme and I are busy nutting out more songs for your listening pleasure. I've been on a bit of a daily grind rollercoaster lately, this has been draining alot of the creative juice from me personally. All thanks to the bureaucratic bastards I call my employers. Being the one who writes most of our lyrics it's basicly called writers block, which saddens me coz it's never really occured before, but it will come back as soon as I'm inspired again.
Graeme on the other hand is strummin' them out simply and beautifully, kudos to him and like Graeme, may I eventually find a boss that even fainty recognises my worth.
But we keep rockin' don't we, coz as all of us know there's nothing better to do...
It's starting to get cold now, winter's on it's way..
Take care mates.. Deb-TENEBRAEtheband

| Monday, March 10th, 2008 Life Dear Rockers
This is a quote from one of Graeme's paramedic mates:
Blood goes 'round and 'round,
air goes in and out.
Any variation on this
could be fatal...
Another 'jam party' in the 'burbs
this weekend.... Yes!

| Monday, March 3rd, 2008 Sailing.. I have sunburnt knees, a sunburnt wrist and a sunburnt little toe.... It is, of course, the toe that hurts the most. But not being one to complain, I mean why bother, no one's listening anyway, I'm soldiering on.
We set sail about 10 am, the breeze was light and not a cloud in the sky... (I find when I'm sailing, sometimes, I have to resist the urge to leap overboard). The water was so clear and inviting... And the sun was hot. We cruised up the Swan River, dodging power boats (20 power to 2 yachts, I reckon), soaking up some fresh air and deciding on what river front real estate I'll be purchasing when my numbers come up. After a few hours the wind died down, so we tacked our way back down the river, dodging power boats and turning a fine shade of pink...
It really was so nice tho' and I felt really priviledged to be asked out there. It reminded me of growing up in North Queensland, I was around yachts and boats often, so I had a fair idea of what to do.
Anyway me and my sunburn are going to walk the dog. Have an adventurous week. Cheers Deb x

| Saturday, February 16th, 2008 'jam party' in the 'burbs Hello fellow rockers, we went to a 'jam party' in the 'burbs, last night, loud and rawkus of course, yet the neighbours never ever complain.. Our crew always has soooo much fun at these parties.. We had seven guitars, two bass', a garbage bin and a set of congas.... We stopped playing at about 5am when they, those who had to, realised it was time to go to work.. Poor darlings.. Have a good one and always take any opportunity to get involved in music, it'll keep you off the streets. love Deb-TENEBRAEtheband

| Sunday, February 3rd, 2008 Romeo... It's not about me.
It's all about what you perceive.
Heard what you wanted to hear,
seen what you thought you saw.
It's easy to deny it,
go ahead now, try it.
I can tell you what to say,
one time, sometime, some other day.
Romeo,romeoh...,romeoh...standing there under your streetlight..

| Sunday, January 13th, 2008 Lyrics by Deb TENEBRAEtheband 'If you're looking for
that pretty blonde girl,
She's the one who
had the world.
She ran into
a really nasty guy,
and now she's in
the lake close by.....'
I am the seer
The seer of the light...
I am the seeker
The seeker of the truth
Over land and ocean
Far and wide
I can hear the bells toll...
The Seer
TENEBRAEthe band
Come and listen for more...
